Surrounded by her loving family, Joan M. (Wensing Snyder) Conti, lost her lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the home of her loving daughter and son-in-law, Deidra and Tony Patitucci.

Joan was born March 23, 1941, in Fayette County, PA, daughter of the late John M. Wensing and Grace (Soom) Wensing, who resided in Uniontown, PA. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma (nanny) to her family. She made many friends throughout her 76 years of life and touched countless lives with her kindness. She loved spending time with her family and friends, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. "To know her was to love her."

Joan previously worked at the Fayette County Recorder of Deeds Office and at the Customer Service Center of the Uniontown Mall. She enjoyed meeting and helping others, a quality that she possessed her entire life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Conti. Just a mere two months ago, he died in her arms while they slept.

Joan's family meant the world to her. She is survived by her children whom she shared with her former spouse and loving friend, Samuel D. Snyder. Her beloved daughters being, Deidra J. Patitucci and husband Anthony Patitucci, Shauna R. Smith and husband Justin D. Smith, Shuzette J. Johnston and fiance John Dorazio, and Angel S. Sigwalt and companion Chuck Crago, Jr. Her precious grandchildren being, Michael Patitucci and wife Jennifer Patitucci, Tony Patitucci, Charles Sigwalt, Rachel Patitucci, Brianna Johnston, Olivia Johnston, Andrew Dorazio, Jeremy Dorazio and Hannah Dorazio. Her great grandchildren being, Dante Patitucci, Nica Patitucci, Santino Smith, and Milania Patitucci. She is also survived by her loving brother, John M. Wensing, II and wife Barbara Wensing, and loving sister, Michelle Capriotti and husband Dante (Denny) Capriotti. In addition, she is survived by aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Marquis Gardens Place and 365 Hospice for the loving care and comfort they provided to Joan in her time of need. They were more than caregivers, they became part of her family and will always be remembered in the hearts of her daughters. They would also like to thank Amedysis Hospice for helping the family and Joan as she passed from this earth and unto her next journey as herself once again.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday, November 15, from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, November 16, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
