Janet Lenore Ansel , 83 of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Friday June 6, 2014

She was born May 27, 1931 in Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of James Edward and Wava Marie (Bogus) Ray.

Janet lived in Mannington West Virginia during her childhood. She and her family then moved to Pennsylvania living in Laurel Glen where she lived when she was in Junior High School. Later when she was in high school her family moved to McClellandtown Pennsylvania where she met Charles J. Ansel, Sr. they dated, married, and had two children Pamela and Charles. Janet lived in McClellandtown attending the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church were she was a member and held the positions of Steward and Greeter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles J. Ansel, Sr., brothers and sisters; Clarence Edward Ray, Phyllis Jean Ray, Mary Margaleen Smith, Charles Richard Ray, Royal Kenneth Ray, Glenna May Ray, James Alben Ray and Danny Lee Ray.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Charles J. Ansel Jr., Pamela A. Libys and her husband Jay, grandchildren Ashley Libys, Curtis Libys, her sister Melba Alba Garner and a brother Bob Keith Ray.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Monday June 16, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday June 17, 2014 in the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church 154 Blaine Ave., McClellandtown, Pa., 15458 from 10:15 until 11 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Ginny Eberhart officiating.

Interment will be held in Church Hill Cemetery McClellandtown, Pa.
