James Joseph "Sonny' Patitucci, 85, of Hibbs, PA passed away peacefully Monday October 21, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills, PA surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Gates, PA February 10, 1934 son of the late Joseph A. and Martha (Kern) Patitucci. Jim graduated from German Twp. High School Class of 1952. He worked as a Millwright Welder for USS Clairton Coke Works for 41 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union local 1557. He also had his own body shop at home where he repaired/repainted hundreds of vehicles over the years for many area local used car dealerships as well as those of family and friends. He enjoyed restoring and owning antique cars and weather permitting taking a ride on his motorcycle. He was an avid hunter and sportsman who enjoyed the outdoors. He particularly liked hunting groundhog with his Clairton buddies. Also during the summer months he enjoyed attending local stock car races at both the Jennerstown and Smithton Speedways as well as frequenting local car shows with his son Jimmy. He is a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown and was a former member of the Republic Area Jaycees. Jim's most precious moments were going on Bus Trips and shopping trips with his wife Pat and spending time with his family. He really enjoyed attending all the activities and events with his children and their families as well as all those his grandchildren participated in over the years and rarely missed a one. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marcella Seymour and half-brother Joseph Patitucci.
