James "Eddle" Farnella, 79 of Uniontown, PA., died on Friday, August 18, 2017 at home. He was born on December 9, 1937 in Lambert, Pa., son of the late Gennaro and Angelina Farinella.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Connie McDonaugh and Betty Posey; brothers, Louis, Joseph, Robert, Eugene, and infant brother Edward.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Rose Scowary; and many dear nieces, nephews, and their families.
Jimmy was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly #920, the Polish Club, Sons of Italy, and Hutchinson Sportsmen's Club. He was an ardent Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan, and enjoyed meeting with his buddies at Kacie's Sports Caf.
Although a man of few words, he spoke volumes by his kindness, gentleness, and unforgettable smile. Jimmy especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, who will miss him deeply.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, August 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Tuesday, August 22 until 10 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Knights of Columbus Honor Guard Assembly #926 will stand Vigil on Monday evening at 7 p.m.
