Isabelle Grant "Izzy" (Markle) Oliastro, 86, of Canonsburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born on March 1, 1931, in Wayne Township, PA, daughter of the late Victor B. and Helen O. (Grant) Markle.
In addition to her parents Izzy was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Oliastro, in 1989; and siblings, Robert B. Markle Sr., H. Wayne Markle, Helen Phyllis Reale, Frances Garwig, and Nancy Houk.
Izzy graduated from the Lincoln High School, Class of 1950 and worked at the Bon Ton for over 20 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and loved to travel. She traveled to numerous destinations across the world. She was also an avid bowler, bowling in both regular and duck pin leagues. Isabelle was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Gary W. Oliastro and his wife Darla, LuAnne Wert and her husband Scott, Joan Mandolesi and her husband Rick, and Andrew Oliastro and his wife Tracey; her grandchildren, Justin Oliastro, Christopher Oliastro, Abigail Wert Campbell, Marisa Mandolesi Maraugha, and Alexandra Wert; her great grandchildren, Domenic, Anthony, and Teagan; her sister, Beverly Greenberg and her husband, Samuel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday, July 12, from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, July 13, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be privately held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
