Irene C. (Hudock) Gorol, 93, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, November 19, 2015, in the Uniontown Hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born on Tuesday, April 4, 1922, in West Leisenring, PA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Hernansky) Hudock.

Irene was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, Andrew, Joseph, John, Thomas, Stephen, and Adam Hudock; sisters, Anna Wardzella, Mary Zerecheck, Margaret Bozak, Katherine Shoby, Veronica McCune, and Helen Stefanko; also nephews, Thomas McCune, Laurence Stefanko, Leonard Wardzella, and William Hudock.

Irene was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. She worked for the Union Supply Company, and the United States Government, Department of Internal Revenue. She was also a member of the First Slovak Catholic Union and the Ladies Pennsylvania Slovak Catholic Union.

She was a beloved Aunt, Great Aunt, and Godmother to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to all of the nurses, aides, and the staff at Lafayette Manor for their compassionate, and loving care of our Aunt Irene.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown, PA., on Sunday, November 22, 2015, from 3-7 p.m. and Monday, November 23, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, PA, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery (Trotter) Connellsville, PA.

The Parish Wake Service will be held Sunday, at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
