Mrs. Helen M. Sausman, 77, of Buffington, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Monarch Meadows.

She was born in Uniontown on September15, 1948 to the late Nicholas and Virginia Marian Capan.

Helen married Mr. William H. Sausman.  He preceded her in death on July 17, 2022.

She worked in several manufacturing facilities through the years.

Helen enjoyed being a wonderful homemaker for over thirty years.  She was the mother hen of the family.

She is survived by four siblings, Nicholine Hobby and husband Dan of Columbia, TN, Mark Capan and wife Mary Lou of New Salem, Rob Capan and fiancé Melanie of Uniontown, and Wendy Marshall and husband John of Lorain, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald Capan, John Capan, Philip Capan, and Mary Ann Ferguson.

Visitation for Helen will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, October 21st  from 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 22nd  at 11 AM.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
