Helen Klotz, 81, of Vanderbilt, PA, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Sunshine Estates Personal Care Home, Connellsville, PA. She was born on July 15, 1933 in Continental No. 3, PA, a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Cherpak) Klotz.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Frank, and Michael Klotz; and sisters, Katherine Klemans, Martha Klotz, Mary Klotz, and Ann Lammers.
Helen was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Uniontown, PA. She worked most of her life as a Telephone Operator and retired from Bell Telephone after many years of service.
Left to cherish her memory are, her brothers, Steve Klotz, and George Klotz and wife Dolores,both of Dunbar, PA; many nieces and nephews; and close special friends Vikki Stepanik and Dianne Malick.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown, PA., on Friday, January 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 31, until 10 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held.
The Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 East Main St., Uniontown, with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
The Parastas Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, in the Funeral Home Chapel.
