Helen E. (Gazda) Haynali, age 87 of Hopwood, PA, died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1924 in Star Junction, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Gazda.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Haynali, who died on January 15, 1988.

Helen was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Farmington, PA. After she graduated from high school, she worked as a receptionist at Freeman Optical in downtown Uniontown, and also with Metzler's Department Store. Later, she worked as a receptionist for the Center Beauty Salon of Uniontown. Helen loved angels, and was proud of her beautiful collection of dolls.

She is survived by her son, Richard Michael Haynali of Farmington, PA; his godson, Thomas Rocks, Jr. his wife Dana, and their children, Abigail and Ashley



Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, (today) Sunday, February 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; and also on Monday, February 20, until 10 a.m., when final visitation and prayers will be held.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 3523 National Pike, Farmington, PA, with Rev. Father James L. Popochock as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

The Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
