Obituary

Helen (Opar) Boshinsky, age 84, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully at home, with her daughter at her side, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on February 10, 1928 in Puritan, PA., daughter of the late Nickolas Opar and Anna (Piszko) Opar.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Boshinsky on July 17, 2011; a son-in-law, Patsy R. Clemmer; three brothers, Paul Opar, John Opar, and Michael "Moe" Opar, and three sisters, Anna Opar Zitney, Catherine Opar, Giammona, and Mildred Opar.

Helen Retired from Michael Berkowitz Shirt Factory, in 1982. She was also a member of the United National Retirement Union and St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. Helen was an avid baker, loved gardening, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great granddaughter Mallory.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Marie "Babe" (Boshinsky) Clemmer of Smithfield, PA; two grandchildren, Shawn Clemmer and wife Lauren of Uniontown, PA; and Stacy Marie Clemmer Netzel and husband Frank, of Greensburg, PA; a great granddaughter Mallory Elizabeth Clemmer; a sister, Margaret (Opar) Hynek of Uniontown, PA.;several nieces and nephews; and a very special neice Rose Petrey and dear friend Anges Mrowca.

The family would like to thank Fayette Home Care & Hospice and a special nurse Andrea Saunders.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, December 14, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. and on Saturday, December 15, 2012 until 9:30 AM, when a Panachita service will be held.

The Divine Liturgy will be held at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, in Uniontown, PA., at 10:00 AM with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.

A Parastas service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 14 at 7:00 PM
