Helen G. Bednarz, 92 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Thursday February 25, 2016.
She was born on September 20, 1923 in Prospect, Pa., a daughter of John and Veronica (Horwat) Estocak.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband John A. Bednarz Sr., her sisters Margaret Check, Elizabeth Kekela, and Ann Mehallic.
She was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children Elaine Bednarz, John Bednarz and his wife Donna, grandchildren Lisa Amber and her husband Eric, Wendy Campbell and her husband Chuck, John Bednarz and his wife Jaime , great grandchildren Matthew Amber, Michael Amber, Maria Amber, Stephen Campbell, Jacob Campbell and John Bednarz, She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Johnson and her brother John Estocak and his wife Joyce.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, Today February 26, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday February 27, 2016 until 11 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.
A Parish Wake Service will be held Friday at 3:30 PM.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
