Mrs. Harriette Dolores Moore, 95, of Uniontown, and having been raised in Lemont Furnace, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

She was born in Uniontown on December 26, 1929 to the late Lloyd D. and Harriette B. Gribble Williams. She was also, preceded in death by a brother, Paul "Sonny" Williams and is survived by a sister, Norman Jean Santore of Uniontown.

Harriette graduated from North Union High School, class of 1947.

She married Mr. Richard L. Moore, high school sweetheart and love of her life, on June 17, 1949.  He preceded her in death in on May 12, 1974.

Harriette previously worked at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator, and then retired, at the age of 80 years old, from UCP as receptionist.

Harriette was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Uniontown, Uniontown Art Club and Historical Society.

She was an independent artist through her life, enjoyed playing cards with many friends, country western line dancing, fishing, and her flowers.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra K. Friend and husband Bernard of Fairchance, and Rhonda G. Bierer and husband Jeffery of Connellsville; a granddaughter, Lea Ann Simpson and husband Chad of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Kayle J. Shaffer and companion Tylar Mellott of Uniontown, Francis L. Simpson and wife Hope of Morgantown, WV, and Pollyann Simpson and companion Tyler of Hagerstown, MD; great great grandchildren, Austin, Kayden, Rhett, Lotus, Nicholas, Jeremiah, and Gregory.

Visitation for Harriette will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Sunday, January 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 20th at 11 AM.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
