Harold L. Carter, age 81 Uniontown, passed away peacefully Monday, November 26, 2012, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born November 19, 1931, in Davie County, NC, son of the late Paul L. and Ada D. Carter.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Pamela Jean, sister, Linda, brother, Gerald Ray, sister-in-law, Betty, niece, Linda, and numerous aunts and uncles and his beloved pet, "Buddy."

He was a Korean War veteran (Army) and served in the Reserves until May 29, 1956, receiving an Honorable discharge. At that time he was employed by Brad Ragan Tire Co., Salisbury, NC and moved his family to PA in 1969. He helped establish Mountain Tire Co., Uniontown and Vern Allen Tire Co., Oliver.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Gary L. (Kathy), of Uniontown, and Paul Christopher (Christine), of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Kimberly R. (Emidio Corradetti), of Pittsburgh; two granddaughters, Lindsey L. Mikeo (Greg), of Fairmont, WV, and Tara M. Takoch (Seth), of Springfield, VA; two grandsons, Brandon C. Carter (Lisa) of San Antonio, TX, and Ryan W.L. Carter (Arielle), of San Diego CA; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Madeline Mikeo; brother, Edward (MaryAnn), Mocksville, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and life member of Good Sam's Club. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and had many friends and will be missed.

The family will receive friends in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, November 30, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. to celebrate his life. Military honors will be accorded at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Private committal services will be held for the family.
