Gery J. Gmiter, 67 of Hopwood passed on Sunday November 3, 2019. Born July 23, 1952 in Uniontown, son of the late John and Mary (Kenyal) Gmiter; Longtime companion of Elaine Kessler; father of Nicole Gmiter Bounds (Andrew) of Canal Fulton, OH, Diane Gmiter Fleming (Mark) of Westerville, OH, Renee Gmiter of Fayetteville, NC and Kevin (Kassie) Gmiter of Virginia Beach, VA; grandfather of Matthew Bounds and Kayden Gmiter; good friend of Cathy Gmiter. Gery was a coal miner, a member of St. Therese RC Church of Uniontown. He enjoyed collecting cars and car shows and enjoyed the Steelers and Pirates and playing with his grandkids. Viewing at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
