Mrs. Gertrude “Trudy” Koury, 88, of Uniontown, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at her residence.

She was born in Connellsville on July 24, 1937 to the late Fred and Mary Kostelnik Kuenzli.

Trudy graduated from Connellsville High School, class of 1956.

She was a member at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and St. George Maronite Church.

Trudy worked at and retired from the former Gallatin Bank as branch manager; where she met her beloved husband, Simon Koury, who preceded her in death in 2012.

She was an avid golfer at the Uniontown Country Club and enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband, family, and friends. She was also a great supporter and served on the State Theatre committee. 

Trudy is survived by two grand-nephews, who were like grandsons to her, Ethan and Ryan Kefover; numerous extended family; and caregiver of eleven years, Marilyn Novak.

Visitation for Trudy will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Monday, June 1st from 5 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401, with prayers of transfer at the funeral home at 9:15 AM.

Interment is in St. John Evangelist Cemetery.
