Gertrude L. Sirgey, age 81, of Youngwood, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Westmoreland Manor. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Youngwood, PA, to the late Thomas W. Weiner and Bessie F. (Anderson) Weiner.

Those preceding Gertrude in death were: her parents; her husband, William J. Sirgey; brothers, Junior Weiner, Edward Weiner, William Weiner, and Fred Weiner; sisters, Mary Henderson, Jean Eutsey, and Martha Weiner; and a child Barbara Klejka.

Gertrude was a member of the Church of Christ in Scottdale, PA. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandy Queer, of Mt. Pleasant, PA., William J. Sirgey, Jr., of Connellsville, PA., George R. Sirgey, of Uniontown, PA., and Vaughn W. Sirgey, of Youngwood, PA.; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 2-8PM., and Monday, April, 2 until 11:00 AM., the Hour of Service, with Rev. Bob Chambers.

Interment was held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
