Gertrude L. Friend, 88 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Monday July 18, 2016.
She was born September 22, 1927 in Arnold, Pa., a daughter of Louis and Beatrice (Walker) LaFrance.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Norman C. Oplinger, daughter Cecil Oplinger and her second husband Ward Friend
Left to cherish her memory is her, children Norman T. Oplinger and Emma, Roy C Oplinger and Shelba, Clifford Oplinger and his wife Jo Ellen, Ralph Oplinger and his wife Joan, Cheryl Briskie and her husband Todd, 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 6-8 p.m.
Interment will be private in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
