Geraldine Marie (Kessler) Malnofsky passed away peacefully on November 26, 2013 at Cloverdale Personal Care Home in Masontown, PA. Gerry was the oldest Ronco-born resident and spent most of her 89 years in her home town. Preceding her in death were her parents, Theodore and Veronica Kessler, granddaughter Denice (Perrine) Coen, and her husband Clyde, with whom she shared 68 years of life.
She was an active member of Jacobs Lutheran Church for several decades. She also volunteered her time at HELPING Hands in Masontown. She was an avid crocheter.
Together, Gerry and Clyde raised four children; Kathryn Perrine, Clyde Malnofsky Jr. and wife Rose, Marie Sue Patchan and husband Justin, Victoria Venincasa and husband Marc. She is survived by her children and eleven grandchildren; Kevin Perrine and wife Sharman, Scott Perrine, Clyde Malnofsky III, Douglas Malnofsky and wife Jeannie, Veronica Simms, Meghan Edwards and husband Brentan, Kayce Patchan, Lindsay Patchan, Bardina Burkholder and husband Dan, Vanessa Venincasa, 10 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Gerry also had a very special caregiver, Betty Nicola, who was always there for her. She would also want to thank all the caregivers from family and friends, Hospice, and Cloverdale for their love and care.
Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Friday, November 29, from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.; and on Saturday, November 30, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, when prayers of transfer will be said.
The Funeral Service will follow at Jacobs Lutheran Church, Masontown, PA at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Rebecca Dittenhafer Officiating.
Interment will be held at Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery, Masontown, PA.
