Obituary

Geraldine Louise (Cole) Fell, 86 of Masontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 17, 1927 in Allison, PA, daughter of James Martin Cole and Sarah Ann (Cummings) Cole.

She was the last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, Harold, Lawrence, Ralph, and infant Douglas; and sisters, Myrtle and Violet.

Geraldine was a loving mother and devoted wife whose greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She faithfully served God all of her life, and shared her faith teaching bible school for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carmichaels and Carmichaels Senior Citizens, and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 62 years, Anthony Francis "Tony" Fell, their children, Jennie Helmantoler, Anthony F. Fell, III. and companion Kim Miller, Barbara Hennessey and husband Rev. Daniel Hennessey; and daughter-in-law Nancy Fell; grandchildren, William Speelman and wife Terri, Daniel Speelman and wife Jennifer, Michael Speelman and wife Chris, Angela Marie Fell Barner and husband Joseph, step-son Doug Ealy and wife Susan, Shawn Patrick Hennessey and wife Beverly, and Daniel Hennessey, Jr. and wife Beth; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA. on Sunday, December 15 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.; and on Monday, December 16, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., the Hour of Service, with her son-in-law, Rev. Daniel Hennessey officiating.

Entombment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family would like to express their thanks and deep appreciation to the nurses and caregivers of Amedysis Hospice for their compassionate and wonderful care. It is the families' preference that contributions to Amedysis Hospice are made in Geraldine's memory.
