Gerald W. Williams, 79, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Uniontown Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Uniontown, PA.
He was born on March 28, 1937 in Lemont Furnace, son of Arnold W. and Anna Mae (Bailey) Williams. His parents, and a niece, Tina Marie Williams preceded him in death.
For the past 30 years he has been employed with E.W. Bowman, Inc. and was a member of US Steel Corp, and the Teamsters Union. He was a graduate of North Union High School Class of 1957. "Double" as he was known by his family and friends, was a very hard working man, and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving is his wife Wanda A. (Varndell) Williams; their children, Gerald Wayne Williams of Lemont Furnace, Christine Quarrick and husband Garry of Uniontown, and Scott W. Williams of Lemont Furnace; grandchildren, Isaac Scott Williams, Cody A. Quarrick, Jennifer M. Quarrick, and Jason M. Sharp; a brother, Grendel Lee Williams and wife Mary Ann of Lemont Furnace; and a nephew, Michael Williams and wife B.J.
A private family visitation and Blessing Service will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA. Entombment will follow at Sylvan Heights Mausoleum.
