Georgette Jean Trocheck R.N., 64, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at home. She was born October 10, 1949 in Connellsville, PA, daughter of the late George and Isabel (Brady) Trocheck.
In addition to her parents Georgette was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Mitchell; and Marilyn K. Mitchell (Keffer).
She was a member of St, Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, graduate of St, John High School Class of 1967, and a graduate of the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing in 1970. Georgette worked at the Uniontown Hospital for 22 years as an R.N. and certified nurse midwife (CNM) before pursuing further education. She graduated from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. in 1996, and served at the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force during the Persian Gulf War.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters, John Mitchell and wife Patty of Uniontown, Margie Matthews of California, PA, David Mitchell and wife Evelyn, James Mitchell, Randy Mitchell and wife Annie, Tom and Mark Keffer all of Uniontown; and sister-in-law, Cindy Mitchell of Brownsville, PA; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, October 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday until 11A.M when a Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti officiating.
Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA, where Military Honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103.
The Trocheck family would like to thank Dr. Paul Hartley and the staff of the Uniontown Hospital for all that they have done for Georgette, and also special friends, Judy, Bertha, Elaine and the rest of her "Lunch Buddies".
