George P. Hunt Jr., 70, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family. George was born December 24, 1946, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late George P. Hunt Sr., and Madelyn (Ceccarelli) Hunt.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, James Dipompie
George was a graduate of the old North Union High School, Class of 1965. He worked as a Bridge Inspector, for the PennDot Bridge Unit, for many years. George enjoyed motorcycles, but loved spending time with his family, especially teasing and giving them a hard time.
He is survived by his wife, of 39 years, Sheila M. Hunt; his children, Phillip E Hunt and his wife, Robin, James R. Hunt and his wife, Cena, William T. Hunt and his wife, Jill, and George P. Hunt III and his wife, Sonni; his grandchildren, James L. Hunt, David V. Alesantrino, Jessica Hunt, Anthony Hunt, Katlyn Hunt, Briana Hunt, and Ariana Hunt; and several cousins.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, December 4, from 2-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mike Lyons Officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions to final funeral expenses may be made.
