Frank Donald Urchasko, 83, of Greencastle, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2015, at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, IN. He was born August 10, 1932 in Masontown, PA a son of the late Julia (Wallace) and Frank Urchasko.
In addition to his parents Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Urchasko.
Frank was a former member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Masontown, PA. He is a graduate of the old German Township High School, and he attended West Virginia University. Frank served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He served with the 45th Oklahoma National Guard and with the 7th Division where he served in Combat. Frank retired from CPC International, Argo, IL. He was a member of the VFW Post #1752 and American Legion Post #48 in Rockville, IN.
Left to cherish his memory, are his loving wife, of 58 years, Rita (Sillett) Urchasko of Greencastle, IN; his daughter, Dawn Urchasko of Williamstown, WV; his sister, Darlene Fox and her husband John of Long Pond, PA, and sister-in-law, Charlotte Forsyth.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R Haky Funeral Home, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, PA, on Saturday, December 12, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 13, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., the Hour of Service, with Rev. Father Ted Shomsky Officiating.
Immediately following the service on Sunday, Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the VFW Post #8543 and the Vietnam Veterans of Fayette County.
Private Mausoleum Entombment will be held Monday, December 14, in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
