Obituary

Frank J. Cohill, 77, of Uniontown, PA, died suddenly on January 20, 2015 at UPMC Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born on April 17, 1937 in Shelby County, Alabama, son of the late John and Addie Mae (Green) Cohill.

He was preceded in death by his son Clinton "Tayda" Mills; he was also preceded in death by many siblings.

"Mr. Frank" as he was lovingly known by his family and friends settled in our community from Vincent, Alabama. He owned and operated Betty's Grill and Restaurant on Main St., Uniontown until 1975. After more than 30 years he retired from the City of Uniontown where he worked as a commercial truck driver with the Sanitation Department. He was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football, and loved the Steelers and Pirates.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 29 years, Verga Fay (Robinson) Cohill, a son SFC Lynn "Butch" Mills, US Army and wife Mandy of Steadman, NC; daughters, Caressa Mills and Tawana Mills both of Uniontown; grandchildren, Raylin, Rian, DaRyess, Dorian, Amaya, Nyela, Janessa, and Syrus whom he loved and lived for.; great-granddaughter, Ja-nilah; godson, Torry; a brother, Albert Cohill of Vincent, AL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Dr. Lynn Robinson and wife Lisa, and Chief M SGT Bruce H. Robinson and wife Annette, all of Virginia; Sidney Bush and husband Tony of Fairchance, PA, Benetta Curley Reid of Forestville, MD; special nephew, Rev. John Carl Wallace of Ohio, and many other dear nieces and nephews, cousins, very special friends, the late Ben and Jean Wright, and their family, and Mr. Herman Thomas and son "Sob" of Uniontown, PA.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.; and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, the Hour of Service with his pastor, Reverend Leonard Kirby Officiating.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
