Francis J. "Toots" Trambko, 88, of Uniontown, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on August 6, 1927 in Buffington, PA, son of Frank and Anna (Shavel) Trambka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Leonard F. Trambko, and siblings, Mary Paull, Pauline Janezic, Helen Jednak, Veronica Merkosky, Ann Perone, and Mike Kline.

Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia Ann "Tish" Trambko; their daughter, Tina Smiell and husband Richard of Hopwood, PA; cherished granddaughters, Keli Dawn DeCarlo of Uniontown, PA, and Keri Beth Adams and husband Shawn of Fairchance, PA; his great grandchildren who were the light of his life, Madeline Rose DeCarlo, and Cael Robert Adams; dear sister Barbara Fetsko and husband Chuck of Dunbar, PA, a special nephew, Barry Paull of New Jersey, whom he considered a son, and many other dear nieces, nephews, and their families.

Francis retired from Steel Scaffolding where he was a welder for many years. He was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, and Slovak Catholic Sokol Fraternal Union. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy at the rank of Seaman First Class until 1946 when he was honorably discharged.

For over 60 years, he has been a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 753, and Funeral Honor Guard. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially taking long walks and bowling with his wife at Manor Lanes. His kindness knew no bounds, and he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, today, Friday, April 8, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.; and until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as celebrant.

Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA, where military honors will be accorded by the Amvets Post 103.

The Parish Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 3 PM.
