Mr. Frank John Marmol, 95, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born on October 7, 1930 in Uniontown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael M. and Anna Stanislaw Marmol; sisters, Dorothy and husband Frank, and Anna Marmol Pollak and husband Samuel Pollak; and brothers, Matthew (Mike), George and wife Daisy, and Andrew and wife Anna.
Frank was a member of St. Mary Nativity Church in Uniontown; and a member and officer of Branch 162 of the First Catholic Slovak Union. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 47 Uniontown, AMVETS Post 103 Hopwood, and Hutchinson Sportsman Club.
Frank graduated from the former South Union High School, class of 1949. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.; and served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954 in the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment 1st Marine Division, and in the United States Reserves for six years.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved being busy cutting grass and fixing everything – his energy was endless. He enjoyed refereeing the Steelers and cheering them on in victory.
Frank is survived by his wife, Dolores Marmol; son, Eric Marmol and wife Kim, and granddaughter, Sydney of Coatesville, PA, and son, Justin Marmol of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Wednesday, May 20th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 10 AM at St. Mary Nativity Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401, with prayers of transfer at the funeral home at 9:15 AM.
Interment is in Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery.
