Francis D. Kovalchick, 85, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Sunday December 9, 2012.

Born on March 19, 1927, in Uniontown, PA., Francis was the son of John C. and Helen (Sowinski) Kovalchick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers John S. Kovalchick, Raymond N. Kovalchick and his brother in law William E. Yespak.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Josephine A. Kovalchick, Bernadine Yespak, sister in law Josephine B. Kovalchick, nieces and nephews Raymond Kovalchick Jr., and wife Kim, Diane Brown and husband Rob, Julie Patsy and husband Bob, Helen Elizabeth Lowden and husband Robert, Godchild Dianna Suter and husband Shawn, great nieces and nephews; Ray III, Brett, Gabrilla, Cody and Hailey.

Francis was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, he was retired from Rockwell International., better know as "The Colonel"

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8PM,

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, in Uniontown, PA. With Rev. Fr. Ronald Simboli as Celebrant.

Everyone please meet in church.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA., where Military Honors will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 103.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Rosary makers Delphine and Linda. or St Anthony Friary.
