Frances Cole Rebovitch's Obituary
Frances Cole Rebovitch went peacefully home to the Lord with her loving family at her side on April 25, 2012.
She was born to Chester and Helen Vargo Cole on September 8, 1932.
Frances graduated from North Union High School and began working at the Berkowitz Shirt Factory and later worked as a receptionist at Fike's Dairy until she retired.
Frances fought several battles with cancer over the past 15 years and most recently during the last five years. She endured these struggles with dignity and without complaint.
Frances truly celebrated every day that the Lord provided her and her efforts were always for His glory. She was an active member of the Dunbar Baptist Church until her illness limited her participation.
Her God-given talents in gardening yielded beauty for all to enjoy. Her flower gardens rivaled those found in gardening magazines. Frances shared her seeds and seedlings, as well as the bounties of her vegetable garden with family, friends, and neighbors.
Frances was a gifted floral designer. She will be remembered for the many floral arrangements and seasonal wreaths that adorned her church and the homes of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, John "Pro" Rebovitch. She is survived by her sister, Judy Popson with whom she made her home, and was her devoted caretaker; brothers, Bob and Patty Cole of Gainesville, Virginia; Sam and Virginia Cole of Ft. Washington, Maryland; nephews, Jeffery and Beverly Popson, and Jerome Popson and friend, Ida, all of Uniontown; and Christopher Cole of Bristow, Virginia; niece Melissa and Travis Upperman of Gainesville, Virginia; a very special aunt, Ellen Swaney of Phoenix, Arizona; several great nephews and great nieces; and many special cousins.
Frances truly was the matriarch of her family whom will forever be indebted for her unceasing love and nurturing.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, April 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and also on Monday, April 30, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Wratchford Officiating.
Interment will be privately held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
