Frances Theresa Kuchta, age 89, of Smock, PA, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born on October 15, 1922 in Lemont Furnace, PA, daughter of the late John G. Stiner, Sr. and Susie (Forgac) Stiner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Kuchta, her son-in-law, Ellis Striner, ten brothers, John, George, Joseph, Andrew, William, Jacob, Stephen, Michael, Paul, and Martin Stiner; five sisters, Ann Stiner, Mary Stiner, Helen Celiga, Susie Wilhelm, and Margaret Adams.
Frances was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Susan Striner and Theresa Benton and husband William, all of Connellsville, PA; four grandchildren, Samantha and Nathan Striner; and William and Rebecca Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, January 20, from 2-9 p.m.; and on Saturday, January 21, 2012 until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 North Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
The Parish Wake Service will be held Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
