Evelyn V. Mohney, 92, of Uniontown, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Beechwood Court.

She was born in Brownsville on July 8, 1932 to the late John and Veronika Vetter.

Evelyn graduated from Brownsville High School, class of 1950.

She was married to Vernon R. Mohney for thirty-six years.  He preceded her in death on June 30, 1990.

Evelyn was a devoted member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and previously St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a eucharistic minister.

She worked at Gallatin National Bank for thirty years; starting as a teller and advancing to new accounts manager.

Evelyn was an active volunteer with the local Red Cross and Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Terry Mohney; a daughter, Tami Mohney; a sister, Christina Pitek; and numerous nieces and nephews; she was the youngest of twelve children.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, October 8th at 10 AM at St. Therese Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Inurnment is in Lafayette Memorial Park.
