Mrs. Evelyn E. Mervay, 95, of Fairchance, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Horizon Personal Care Home in Fairchance.

She was born in Uniontown on December 22, 1928 to the late John and Rose Lucosh Gesso.

She married Mr. Lawrence Mervay.  He preceded her in death on May 28, 1975.

Evelyn attended St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed reading her daily scriptures, bowling, and her family.

She had previously worked at Ross Brothers and Fayette Tire.

Evelyn is survived by a brother, Paul Gesso and wife Norma of San Jose, CA; a sister in law, Dolores of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three siblings, Irene, Marge, and John.

Services are private.

Interment is in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown
