Obituary

Enrico "Rick" Edward Graziani, 73, formerly of Land O' Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 15, at his daughter's home in Smithfield, PA.

He was born in Hibbs, PA on November 23, 1942, to Felix J. and Alvera M. (Franks) Graziani. His parents, an infant daughter, Mary Ann, and his infant brother, Richard preceded him in death.

Rick was a graduate of German Township High School Class of 1960. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. With highest honors, he earned his degree in Mining Technology from Penn State University, Fayette Campus in 1972. Following, Rick worked as Superintendent for Consol Energy, Island Creek Corporation, and Preston Energy. In 1988, he assumed the role of Senior Field Engineer for NEI Syncrolift, Inc. in Miami, FL. Upon retirement, he remained a consultant for Pearlson Shiplift.

Surviving is his devoted wife of 53 years, Joanne (Urbania) Graziani; six children, Renee Riley and husband Jeffrey of Morgantown, WV, Stephanie Bradley and husband Michael of Greencastle, PA, Tonette Clere and husband Kenneth of Greenville, SC, Richard Graziani and wife Susan of Morgantown, WV, Daphne Bowman of Greenville, SC, and Janel Martin and husband Scott of Smithfield, PA, nine grandchildren, Ashley and Morgan Riley, Ryan Bradley, Sara and Anthony Graziani, Marcus and Miranda Bowman, and Austin and Noah Martin; a brother, Anthony Graziani and wife Regina of Uniontown, PA; nephew Michael Graziani and wife Michele; niece, Monica Graziani; a great niece and two great nephews, Mia and Max Graziani, and A.J. Olech. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends for the good and honest person that he was.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the medical staff and nurses of Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV, and Amedisys Hospice of Masontown for their exceptional care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, July 17, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.; and Monday, July 18, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. A Blessing Service will follow at 10 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese officiating

Military honors will be accorded by Chaplin and Commander of the VFW Post 8543.
