Obituary

Emma Lue (Welling) (Everly) Sneed, age 85, of Uniontown, PA., earned her angel wings on Saturday, February 23, 2013. She was born on April 19, 1927, daughter of Tom and Fannie Welling and step-daughter of French Everly.

Emma was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church, where she was involved with the Silver and Gold Ministry and also served on the Bereavement Committee for a number of years.
She was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed drying dishes and folding laundry at Generations Elder Care, where she last resided.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, J.R. Sneed; an infant child, Bobby Sneed; a brother, Don Everly; and two sisters-in-law, with whom Emma felt were her sisters, Anita Everly and Thelma Jordan.

Emma is survived by her daughters, Debra husband Frank Barbage, of Uniontown, PA., and Ida and husband Randy Long of Lititz, PA; five grandchildren, Christy Shimko, Jonathon Barbage, Jason Barbage and wife Patty, Bobby Miller and wife Kelly, and Hannah Miller and and Jason Heft; great grandchildren, Brittany Pletcher, Brianna Shimko, Jessie, Shimko, and Maci Shimko, Collin Miller, Lauryn Miller, Haley Heft, Ava Heft, Trever Barbage, Abigail Barbage, and Kyle Lawrence; a brother, James Jordan, of Connellsville, PA.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved; her best friend, Dolores Elliot; and her friend and nurse Gina Lewis.

Emma's family would like to thank the staff of Generations, Darla "Patch Hunkey", Dawn, Chris, and the staff of Amedisys Hospice for the care that was given to Emma.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA. on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8PM.

A Funeral service will be held at Faith Assembly of God church, located at 690 Morgantown Rd. Uniontown, PA., 15401 on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11:00AM with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating.

Interment will be privately held following the church service.

Memorial donations may be made to Faith Assembly of God.
