Mrs. Elsie Rose Marie Hatfield, 94, of Uniontown, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Harmon House Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born in Connellsville on November 10, 1930 to the late Stephen and Anna Strauch Uhazie.

Elsie graduated from Dunbar Township High School, class of 1947.

She married Mr. Benjamin Hatfield, and he preceded her in death in 1992.

Elsie worked as a secretary most of her working career, and worked for Ennis Business Forms as office manager.

She enjoyed bowling, crafting, and music.

Elsie is survived by her three children, Stephen F. Hatfield and wife Karen, Brenda Hatfield, and Daniel Hatfield all of Dunbar; three grandchildren, Wendy DeOre and husband Thomas of Dunbar, Don Hatfield, Jr. of Florida, and Jamie King and wife Nicole of Vanderbilt; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Lieghliter.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by several siblings.

Visitation for Elsie will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, September 2 from 11 AM to 1 PM, at which time the funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
