Ella Catherine Lawrence, 91, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully  at her home on Monday, February 4, 2019 with her family at her side.

She was born on October 3, 1927 in Uniontown, Pa, daughter of the late Jacob and Pearl (Hoover) Bittinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Logalbo, a son, Raymond Lawrence, and six brothers and sisters.

Cathy, as she was known to her family and friends, was a member of High House Church of God. While raising her six children, she often worked two jobs at a time, yet she was a "mom" to many kids in the neighborhood as well as her own. She worked as a waitress at Dom's Restaurant in Uniontown for many years.

Surviving are her children, David Lawrence and wife Janice of Colorado, Brenda Cory and husband Allen of Tennessee, Richard Lawrence and wife Michelle of North Carolina, Linda Best and husband Bill of Uniontown; son-in-law, Danny Logalbo Maryland; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Audrey Fitzpatrick of Amend, Arnold Bittinger of Uniontown, Ethel Memmo of Clairton, Arlene Sprouls of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext.,Uniontown, Pa. on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Saturday, February 9,  from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., the Hour of Service.

Private interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
