Elizabeth Veronica (Kozel) Vitti, of Uniontown, PA, went peacefully to the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the age of 93. She was born on December 22, 1920, daughter of the late John and Anna (McNosky) Kozel, Sr.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Theodore Vitti; brother, Benedict Kozel, and sister Veronica Nara.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, St. Mary's Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and the Golden Club. She attended St. Mary's School in Uniontown, North Union High School. She worked at Berkowitz Garment Factory where she met her husband Theodore. Elizabeth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her whole life.

She is survived by daughters, Kathleen A. Sharp and husband Kenneth of Connellsville, PA, and Patricia L. Hritz Zebrasky of Uniontown, PA; grandchildren, Patricia Louise Sypolt and Theodore Hritz; great grandchildren, Adam, Michael, Olivia Louise; sisters, Madeline Shutok of Uniontown, PA, Irene Fitzpatrick of California, Margaret Gursky and husband Steve of New York, Theresa Stepanik and husband Michael of Ohio and; a brother, John A. Kozel, Jr. and wife Colleen of Uniontown, PA; a sister-in-law, Julia Hayden of Hopwood, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by special friend, Veronica Morgan, and caregiver, Susan Hull of Anova Health Services. Special thanks to Johnny Batya, and her special little friend, Anna Sabol, and her doctors, Dr. Vanek, and Dr. Cook.

Family and friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, February 9, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant. All family and friends attending the Mass should arrive at the church no later than 10:45 a.m.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

The Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday evening at 6:15 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by Christian Mothers' Prayers.
