Elizabeth C. Saluga, 86 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 31, 2020. She was born on April 6, 1933 in Morgantown, WV, daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Parrotta.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Saluga in 1989; her son Richard E. Gifford; sisters, Margie Calemine, Rosie Parrotta; and brothers, Felix, Frank, Joseph, Sam, John, Richard, and Tony Parrotta.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. She had a love of gardening, and enjoyed Polka music and dancing. For many years she worked for Davis and Lynch Glass Factory in West Virginia, but later operated as a licensed hairdresser for several years.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Teresa J. Gifford, son, Michael J. Gifford; 15 grandchildren, sisters, Angela Porreca and Pauline Spooner, both of Ohio, several very special nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog "Angel".

Friends will be received the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Sunday, February 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Monday morning until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday February 3, at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill St., Uniontown, Pa.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

The Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
