Elizabeth "Betty" (Good) Balawender, 84, of Uniontown, PA, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on March 3, 1929 in Uniontown.

She was the last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth (Phillips) Good, her husband, Marion R. Balawender in 1995, and seven brothers and sisters, Margaret (Good) Orin, Edward Good, John Good, Jr., Ronald Good, William Good, Irene (Good) Wilson, and Thomas Good.

Betty was a graduate of North Union High School, a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, the former St. Mary Rosary Society, and member and volunteer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. For many years Betty was employed with the Uniontown A & P Market.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, daughter, Karen Balawender of Drexel Hill, PA, and son, Kevin Balawender of Oakland Park, FL.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, January 10, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Saturday, January 11, from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Connellsville, PA.

The Parish Wake Service will be held on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

The family prefers that Memorial Contributions be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 70 N. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401
