Eleanor L. (Sostarich) Smarslok, age 87, of Greensburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Westmoreland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 21, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph Sostarich and Anna (Volesko) Sostarich.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Anthony Smarslok; and a son, Jerome Smarslok.

Eleanor was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Paul David Smarslok, and wife Diane of North Huntingdon, PA; three grandchildren, Daryl Smarslok, Benjamin Smarslok, and Brianne Smarslok; a brother, Joseph Sostarich and wife Carol; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Smarslok.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, December 5 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and Thursday, December 6, 2012 until 9:30AM when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, PA at 10:00 AMwith Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will be held in SylvanHeightsCemetery, Uniontown, PA.

A Parish Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 3:30PM.
