Eleanor M. Rider Sickles, age 74, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday October 16, 2012

She was born on November 19, 1937, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Slampak) Palic.

A member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic War Vets, Catholic Daughters Court 505, Catholic Business/Professional women, Amvets Post 103 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Women's Democratic League, she was also a Volunteer at The St. Vincent DePaul Store in Uniontown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Howard W. Rider Sr., and daughter Elizabeth Stewart.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Robert G. Sickles, children John H. Rider and wife Diane, Howard W. Rider Jr. and wife Bonnie, Gary Edward Rider, Deborah Gates and husband Anthony, Fred Sickles and wife Cheryl, grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica, Rachael, Jamie, Andrew, Adriana, Ashley, John Howard, Beth Ann, Christopher, Evan, Brecken, Micah, great grandchildren; Dylan, Emma, she is also survived by her brother John Palic and her sister Betty Andaloro.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 and on Friday October 19, 2012 until 12 noon when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

A Parish Wake Service will be held Thursday October 18, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. prayers by The Christian Mothers will follow the Parish Wake Service.

The Amvets Post 103 Ladies Auxiliary will hold their memorial service Thursday October 18, 2012 at 7 p.m.
