IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elaine
Rose
August 6, 1944 – February 22, 2018
Elaine Rose, 73, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 6, 1944, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Donald and Doris (Arnold) Breakiron.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her son, Mark A. Rose; her mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and John Rose; her sister, Joy Hiles; brothers-in-law, Darwin Arnold, Wayne Hudson, Dave Smith, and James Zak; and sisters-in-law, Antoinette Rose and Diane Thomas.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, of over 50 years, Jack Rose; her children, John E. Rose, Janine Jenkins and her husband James, currently deployed, Anthony J. Rose and his wife Danielle and daughter-in-law, Cindy Rose; her grandchildren, James Jenkins II, Courtney Owens and her husband Josh, Andrew Jenkins, Cody Jenkins, Sage Jenkins, Toni Rose, and Bradee Rose; and two great grandchildren, Lydia and Evelyn Owens. Elaine also leaves behind 8 of her brothers and sisters, two sisters-in-law, their extended families, and numerous other family members and friends.
To know Elaine was to know her cooking, to know that she never met a stranger and to know she loved nothing more than her family. Be it meatballs, macaroni salad or oyster stuffing – many were more than familiar with her renowned recipes and she would make enough to feed an army since her goal was to leave no belly empty! She could talk to anyone, anywhere – the store, the doctor's office or at a grandkid's activity. However, some of the most cherished memories will be held by her family with whom she would often have late night chats into the wee hours of the morning. Above all though, family was number one for Elaine. She was the matriarch, the glue keeping everything together. And of course, Nannan's grandbabies were absolutely at the top of the list! Nobody could be prouder of her babies than she was!!
