Edward P. Susa, 96, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Mount Macrina Manor. He was born on January 26, 1923 in Marguerite, PA, son of the late Andrew J. and Catherine V. (Puskar) Susa.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie (Zubovich) Susa, and sisters, Irene Doney and husband Ted and Mildred Oris.

Edward retired from the Robena Mine where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator. During WWII he proudly served his country with the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, the Croation Fraternal Union, and George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103. Edward was a wonderful husband, and will be deeply missed by his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Dolores (Danko) Chorba Susa; his brother, Richard Susa and wife Philomina; brother-in-law Frank Oris, several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; stepsons, and  family.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa on Tuesday, May 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and until 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa.

Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by Amvets Post 103.

The Parish Wake Service led by the Lazarus Ministry will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
