Edsel Wayne Custer, age 83, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at is home with his family by his side.
Edsel was born on January 2, 1928, in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Ed Custer and Hazel (Burkhimer) Custer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Libby; a brother Walter Custer; and a sister, Helen Bradley.
Edsel enjoyed spending his time painting cars, and walking at the mall. He was known by his family as a man who could troubleshoot and fix just about anything.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving children, Deborah Prigg, Malva White, and James Edward Custer and wife P.J.; two grandchildren, Jeff Nichols and Sarah Lynn Custer; one brother, John Custer; one sister, Louise Custer; and a close friend, Betty Velikcoff.
Funeral arrangements will be private and under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA.
