Obituary

Earl Jay Wingrove of Uniontown, PA went home to the Lord on March 1, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Charles Wingrove, his siblings Charles Wingrove, Harold Wingrove, Dolores Robertson, Betty Piper and James Wingrove. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 65 years, Betty Jean Wingrove; brothers Ronald and Raymond Wingrove, his sons Earl "Sonny" Wingrove and wife Cheryl, William Wingrove and wife Darla, his daughter Brenda Myers and husband John; His Grandchildren Amy Crossland, Jamie and Michael Dimarco, Earl "Butch" and Jennifer Wingrove, Sherri Ezzi and Steve Cruz, Stacey Bortz and Gregg Dahl, William and Angela Wingrove, Robert Wingrove and Matthew Myers ; Great grandchildren Jeanene, Jessica and Jay; Mia, Joseph, Marissa and Angelina Ezzi, Eva Jean Cruz, Giona and Biaggi Dimarco, Jenna Wingrove and Addison Wingrove. He will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to his family and especially his wife Betty. He had incredible work ethic all of his life, from his work on his family farm to his career driving trucks. He served proudly in the US Army during World War II and operated heavy equipment for over 35 years until he retired from Menallen Coal Co. He took great pride in his profession and was proud of the fact that he never missed a day of work. After retirement, he spent his time enjoying his family, listening to country music, and perfecting his lawn. He took great pride in its appearance. There are no words to express the depth of his family's love and loss.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa., 15401 on Tuesday March 4, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm. And on Wednesday March 5, 2014 until 11 am the hour of service with Rev. Robert W. Ellenberger officiating.
