Earl E Hughes, 81, of Uniontown, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the presence of family members.

Earl retired from Connellsville Area School District in 1994, was a veteran of the Korean War and member of Pipeliners Local 798.

Left to cherish Earl's memory are his wife of 56 years Dorothy, and his loving children: daughter Cathy Piwowar and husband Jim, son Chuck and wife Peggy, son Mark and wife DeeDee, son Bill and wife Robin; grandchildren: Michelle Schrock, husband John and daughters Tess and Piper, Jamie Piwowar and fianc John Lewis, Mark Hughes II, fianc Sarah Jordan and daughter Hannah, Miranda Jacobs, husband Joel and daughters Emma and Abbey, and Nicolette Hughes; extended family of grandchildren: Tatum Miller, husband Donnie and daughters Sabrina and Sierra, Tommy Burrie, wife Angie and sons Easton and Kace, Meghann Richards, husband Ben and son Cooper, and Caitlyn Burrie; Siblings: Doris Stollar, Mary Ranko, Leo Hughes, and Sharon Simpson and husband Fred; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC. A memorial service to celebrate Earl's life will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11am at the Fairchance Free Methodist Church, 59 S. Morgantown St., Fairchance, PA. officiated by Pastor Kenny Rockwell.

Military Honors will be accorded by the AMVETS Post #103.
