Dorothy A. Kula, age 91, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2016
She was born on February 7, 1925, in Youngstown, Pa., a daughter of Stephen and Anna (Bodnar) Yablunosky.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Anthony S. Kula, her sisters; Anna Marie "Amy" Pileggi, Frances Carolla and a brother Stephen Yablunosky.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the St Joseph Choir, Christian Mothers and the Social Club; and a 1943 graduate of North Union High School. During WWII she moved to Youngstown, Ohio where she worked at Sheet & Tube. When she returned home she was employed at Cohen Furniture store and later worked as a secretary to J. Leff President of Fayette Bank. Dorothy loved to play bingo, slot machines and poker.
Left to cherish her memory is her children Linda Noel and her husband Leon, Judith Kula and her fianc John Farrell, Toni Kula with whom she made her home. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Kotun.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown, PA., on Friday March 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and on Saturday March 12, 2016 until 10:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, PA,
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
