Dorothy M. Kir, age 86 of Masontown, PA, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1924 in Smock, PA, daughter of Stephan J. and Katherine (Posivak) Bandjough.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, Rudy Bandjough, Edward Bandjough, Alfred Bandjough, and Edna Bandjough.

Dorothy attended Notre Dame University, and was an Associate Vice President and Head of Sebregation for Associate Finances Company for 43 years prior to her retirement. She resided in South Bend, Indiana and also Dallas, Texas before moving back to this area, to be close to her son.

Dorothy had been a member of All Saints R.C. Church in the 1940's.

Surviving is her son, David J. Kir and his wife Dianne of Belle Vernon, PA; brothers, John Bandjough of Philadelphia, PA; Joe Bandjough of Maryland; and a sister, Beatrice Marinelli of Uniontown, PA.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, August 7, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.; and on Monday, August 8, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.

A Blessing Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Father John M. Butler Officiating.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
