Dorothy M. (Moxley) Houck, age 88 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

She was born on December 17, 1929 in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late John W.and Ida (Holub) Moxley. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her birth mother Elsie (Tissue) Moxley, who died when Dorothy was 2; husband of 54 years William E. Houck, Sr., her only sibling, John "Jack" Moxley, and a son-in-law, Ronald E. Ridley.

"Dot" graduated from Uniontown Senior High School and was a life long resident of Uniontown, living the vast majority of her early years and married life on North and South Gordon St.

Dorothy was a faithful, lifetime member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.

Dorothy loved without reservation and was loved by everyone that knew her. Often described as a wonderful person, an Angel, she will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her son William "Bill" Houck, Jr. of Conneaut Lake, son Fred Houck of Uniontown, daughter Susan Ridley of Hopwood, son John Houck and wife Diana of Huber Heights, OH, and daughter Lori Kadar and husband Tom of Uniontown, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext. Uniontown, PA on Thursday, April 26, 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.; and on Friday, April 27, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese officiating.

Entombment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum.
