IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy Helen
Gmutza
February 8, 1923 – September 17, 2019
Dorothy Helen Gmutza, 96 of Uniontown passed on Tuesday September 17, 2019. Born February 8, 1923 in West Leisenring, daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine (Kozak) Kormos; Beloved wife of the late Emil Gmutza; mother of Donna G. (Jim) Fox and Gary (Teresa Jones) Gmutza, both of Uniontown; grandmother of Erin Gmutza, Ira (Emily Patrick) Fox, Sara (Edward V.) Gmutza Balling, Adam (Fiance Ferrell Jellots) Gmutza; great grandmother of Edward V. Balling Jr.; sister of the late Pauline Kuchno, William Kormos and Kathryn Galida; several nieces and nephews also survive her. Helen was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Uniontown. We lost a very special lady in our lives. Dorothy "Helen" Gmutza has left this world and went on to be with God and her dear husband Emil. She was a wonderful person. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and GIGI to her great grandchild. She made us laugh. All the time. She was stubborn and strong willed. She could and would kick your butt in a game of Yahtzee. And laugh at you and rub that loss in your face. She attended bingo every Thursday at West Leisenring Social Hall and always arrived early to ensure she had her regular seat. She lived off chocolate and Chex mix and was still the healthiest person ever at 96 years old! She was loved by so many people. But no one loved her more than we did. We will miss and love her always. Friends welcome at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown on Friday from 2-8 PM where Prayers of Transfer will be said Saturday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Jefferson Ave. Uniontown. Interment to follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Keeping the Faith Animal Shelter and Rescue c/o Sara Balling in Helen's memory. Tributes welcome at www.hakyfuneralhome.com
