Doris Arlene (Cope) Shartzer, 75, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, PA. She was born on December 12, 1938, in Uniontown, PA, daughter of Carl P. Sr., and Ruth M. (McCormick) Cope.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul J. "Joe" Shartzer, two infant sons, her step mother Helen Cope. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Debbie Jo and her husband Thomas Johnston Jr., brothers; Don Cope, Carl Cope Jr., and his wife Avie and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. when the Funeral Service will be held, with Pastor Barry Witt officiating.
